Operation Easter Basket

"Faith in action is love and love in action is service."

            ~Mother Teresa

Operation Easter Basket has provided wonderful service opportunities for students and adult volunteers! In addition to purchasing items for the baskets, Partners in Outreach provides a list of suggested items or creates a "Sign Up Genius" to help organizations or schools run a fun and very appreciated service project. PIO provides the containers, grass, cellophane and ribbon and coordinates days of service. The project has been completed at our location in Exton, as well as at area schools. Over 600 baskets were assembled and distributed this past season! Each basket also included a brand new, age-appropriate book!

Special thanks to our partner schools who helped contribute to and assemble these baskets:

Bishop Shanahan High School, St. Patrick's Elementary School, Malvern,

and Villa Maria Academy High School

Contact us if you'd like to participate in this fun and hands-on service project!

Baskets are divided into age groups and some consistency with number of items and value is maintained by preparing a sign up genius of items needed. PIO provides the containers, grass, cellophane and ribbons, as well as a surplus of contents to complete the baskets.

At right, volunteers display  a sample of the 100 baskets they assembled at our Exton facility.

HIgh school spanish class students lend their time and talent to help Partners in Outreach distribute the baskets and clothing at the

St. Agnes Day Room.
